Talent Acquisition: Why your Employee Value Proposition (EVP) is more important than ever

This webinar addressing talent acquisition majored on the Employee Value Proposition (EVP).

A central part of why employees turn up and stay at organisations, the discussion explored what the EVP is, what HR can do to create and improve the EVP and how it can deliver value. The session brought together Andrew Bott, Director, Talent Acquisition (EMEA & APAC) – Medidata Solutions, Greig Fairweather – Human Resources Director and John Tarrant, Managing Partner of sponsor DNA.

Their different perspectives meant the webinar gave a full picture of the challenges around and benefits of creating a great EVP. Not only does this offer a way for organisations to attract new talent – and deliver what new employees expect – but also it gives organisations a way of understanding what it is like to be a part of their operation and make adjustments accordingly. In this way the EVP can transcend being purely a tool to aid attraction to delivering value across other areas of the business too. As such the EVP can be a framework created and manager by HR, but owned and sponsored by the board and the wider business in general.

At a time when getting talent onboard can be a challenge – and when employees are certainly more demanding of the place where they work in terms of their work life balance and what they want to get out of life, setting a strong and accurate EVP can be crucial for the ongoing success of a business. Across this webinar there were many learning points for HR in advancing the positive messages their prospective candidates and existing employees need to hear.
